Beyond the Business
When I’m not helping clients build wealth, I’m usually playing sports or spending time outdoors. I’ve run a marathon, played competitive squash, and enjoy 2s beach volleyball, tennis, and, more recently, pickleball. I enjoy being in nature so much that I built my own cottage from the ground up, and now live off-grid full time thanks to Starlink making it possible to work remotely from our peaceful retreat.
I get just as much fulfillment working with my hands as I do working with numbers. Whether it’s keeping up with maintenance on one of my motorized toys or starting another project around the cottage, I’m always building, fixing, or figuring something out.
In the winter, I love getting out on the sled and riding the local snowmobile trails. In the summer, I’m usually putting around on the ATV, out on the lake, going for a swim, or unwinding by a campfire. Being surrounded by nature helps me stay grounded and keeps things in perspective. It’s the perfect way to reset after a week of screen time and in-depth planning work.
I also collaborate closely with my wife, a licensed Realtor and CMHC Commercial Mortgage Underwriter. She brings valuable insight for clients investing in real estate, especially those working with 5+ unit apartment buildings.
